Rudolf Ceyka
Rudolf Ceyka (born March 16, 1941 in Möllersdorf , Lower Austria ; † April 11, 1990 ) was an Austrian national soccer player .
Career
Defender Rudolf Ceyka began his career at his home club SK Möllersdorf , which he joined in August 1952 at the age of eleven. From there he was obliged in July 1960 by Vienna , where he was immediately a regular player in the A-League . From a sporting point of view, Rudolf Ceyka's first season in 1960/61 with the Döblinger team was the most successful. In the championship he took second place with the club, in the Rappancup the quarter-finals were reached, where it was only an unfortunate 3: 4 after extra time against Ajax Amsterdam .
Rudolf Ceyka was finally called up to the Austrian national soccer team by team boss Eduard Frühwirth . As part of the World Cup qualification in '66 , he played an international match against the GDR in Leipzig on October 31, 1965 in front of almost 100,000 spectators . Rudolf Ceyka stayed at Vienna until the 1967/68 season , when the club was relegated to the Regionalliga Ost . In total, he had completed 179 first division games by then.
