Rudolf Dessoir , actually Rudolf Dessauer , ( September 9, 1799 in Posen - December 28, 1833 in Mainz ) was a German theater actor .

Life

Dessoir, the older brother of the theater actor Ludwig Dessoir , worked as an actor in Munich and Vienna . In June 1825 he appeared in Munich at the Royal Theater am Isarthor in the "Great Historical Drama" of Emperor Friedrich der Rothbart and Duke Heinrich the Lion by August Klingemann . At the end of 1825 / beginning of 1826, previously engaged in Vienna, he was engaged by August Klingemann, the director of the house, at the behest of Duke Karl II of Braunschweig at the Braunschweig court theater , where he was a permanent member of the ensemble for the next few years.
