Rudolf Focke

Rudolf Focke (born April 4, 1852 in Itzehoe , † January 27, 1918 in Posen ) was a German librarian and university professor in Posen.

Life

Focke studied at the Royal University of Greifswald and the Albertus University in Königsberg . He became a member of the Corps Borussia Greifswald (1872) and the Corps Normannia Königsberg (1876). With a dissertation on the concept of causality in Fichte , he was in 1879 in Königsberg i.Pr. to the Dr. phil. PhD . Professionally in Berlin , he became a corps bow bearer of Normannia Berlin (1885). He became director of the Kaiser Wilhelm Library in Poznan and professor at the Royal Academy in Poznan . He was appointed as Privy Councilor characterized .
