Rudolf Huygelen (born December 29, 1961 in Duffel ) is a Belgian diplomat .

Life

Rudolf Huygelen studied law and joined the foreign service on October 16, 1989. From 1991 to 1994 he was an attaché in Cologne . From 1994 to 1997 he was employed in Brussels . From 1997 to 2002 he served as First Class Embassy Secretary in Washington, DC . From 2002 to 2003 he was chargé d'affaires in Pretoria . From 2003 to 2007 he was the press spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and directed its public relations work . From 2007 to January 17, 2010 he was ambassador to Lisbon . He has three children.
