Rudolf Inderst

Rudolf Inderst (* 1978 in Munich ) is a German cultural scientist .

Life

Rudolf Inderst studied political science , American studies and modern and contemporary history in Munich and Copenhagen from 1999 to 2005 . He then did his doctorate in American cultural history from 2005 to 2009 at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich. He worked as a lecturer at the LMU Munich at the Amerika-Institut, the SRH Berlin and at the University of Munich and completed his second doctorate in media studies at the University of Passau in 2018 . He has other teaching assignments and has held workshops and lectures at institutions in German-speaking countries.

Since 2002 he has been working as a freelance author (e.g. for Jetzt.de, sueddeutsche.de or filmspiegel.de) and speaker with a focus on game studies and film . In addition, he regularly gives lectures on cultural studies at festivals , conferences and workshops and speaks at panel discussions and conferences . From 2010 to 2013 he was head of the “Digital Games” department at the title culture magazine. From 2013 he took over this position together with Christof Zurschmitten at the Swiss culture journal nahaufnahme.ch. He has been solely responsible in this position since the end of 2017.

Since 2013 he has also been working as an international community strategist for Koch Media and Deep Silver in Planegg near Munich.
