Rudolf Kimmig

Rudolf Kimmig (born April 2, 1869 in Tiengen ; † 1944 ) was a German insurance manager.

Life

After graduating from the humanistic grammar school in Freiburg, Rudolf Kimmig studied law at the universities of Freiburg and Greifswald. In 1888 he became a member of the Corps Rhenania Freiburg . He passed the first state examination in law in 1892, the second state examination in law in 1895. In 1897 he was appointed Grand Ducal Secretary of State in the Grand Ducal Baden Ministry of Justice, Culture and Education. In the same year he moved to the board of directors of the general pension fund in the Grand Duchy of Baden, Karlsruhe life insurance in Karlsruhe. At the end of 1903 he was appointed managing director of Karlsruher Lebensversicherung, formerly the general pension fund. On September 1, 1922, he was appointed General Director of Karlsruher Lebensversicherung AG.

From February 1, 1908, Kimmig was a member of the Insurance Advisory Board at the Reich Supervisory Office for Private Insurance. He was also a member of the supervisory board of Frankfurter Allgemeine Versicherungs-AG in Frankfurt am Main, Helios, Allgemeine Rückversicherungs-AG in Frankfurt am Main, Hammonia, Allgemeine Versicherungs-AG in Hamburg, Vereinigte Versicherungs-AG, formerly Gedevag, Kosmos and Selbsthilfe in Berlin, the Excelsior Lebensversicherungs-AG in Berlin, the Südwestdeutsche Bank AG in Frankfurt am Main and the Landesgewerbeschule für Südwestdeutschland AG in Karlsruhe.
