Rudolf Klaiber

Rudolf Klaiber (born May 30, 1873 in Künzelsau ; † June 8, 1957 in Stuttgart ) was a German administrative lawyer and police chief in Stuttgart.

Life

School and study

Rudolf Klaiber was born as the son of a government director and later city director of Stuttgart. From 1882 to 1891 he attended the Lyceum Ludwigsburg and the Eberhard-Ludwigs-Gymnasium Stuttgart. This was followed by law studies in Tübingen and Berlin until 1895 . During his studies in 1891 he became a member of the Germania Tübingen fraternity . He passed the state exams in 1895 and 1897.

Career

From 1896 to 1910, Rudolf Klaiber was a government trainee and assessor at the Württemberg regional offices. From 1911 to 1913 he was bailiff, senior bailiff and deputy city director in Stuttgart. In 1914 he became head of the royal Württemberg state police headquarters. In addition, he became a one-year volunteer in 1897 and then a reserve officer in Grenadier Regiment No. 119 until 1912 . At the TH Stuttgart he was a lecturer in public law from 1910 and remained so until 1923. Klaiber headed the state police central office until 1922, even when it was renamed the state police office in 1917, so from 1919 to 1922 he was director of the state police office. From 1917 to 1918, as captain of the reserve, he also headed the military central police station in Württemberg. In 1920 he was appointed senior councilor. In 1923 the TH Stuttgart made him an honorary senator.

From 1923 to 1938 he was head of the Wuerttemberg State Criminal Police Office and police chief in Stuttgart.

More functions

Rudolf Klaiber was a member of the International Criminal Police Commission ( IKPK ) from 1923 to 1938 , price monitoring commissioner for Württemberg from 1931 to 1935 and a member of the Criminal Procedure Committee of the Academy for German Law from 1936 to 1938 . From 1938 to 1945 Rudolf Klaiber was district leader of the Red Cross in Stuttgart.

His son Joachim Klaiber was a theater director, Carla Henius his daughter-in-law.
