Rudolf Kobs

Rudolf Kobs (born June 17, 1893 in Berlin , † January 23, 1978 in Dortmund ) was a German athlete and gymnast .

Career

Kobs started as a track and field athlete for Lübeck TV Berlin at the German Championships in 1919 and finished third in the decathlon with 739.23 points. He later worked as a gymnast for the TV Vorwärts Breslau . He was the first district festival winner three times in the twelve fight. In 1921 he was champion in the device ten fight of the DT Leipzig with 184 points, in the popular decathlon of the DT Nuremberg and in the twelve fight of the DT Hanover . In 1922 he won the Twelve Fight at the German Fighting Games in Berlin . In 1923 he won the Twelve Fight at the German Gymnastics Festival in Munich . From 1923 to 1924 the sports teacher was an Olympic trainer for apparatus gymnastics in Finland .

He was the grandfather of Karsten Kobs .
