Rudolf Niklas

Rudolf Niklas (born April 23, 1906 in Lienz ; † July 7, 1972 ) was an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ) and farmer. Niklas was a member of the Lower Austrian state parliament from 1952 to 1967 .

Life

Niklas attended elementary and community school in Wiener Neustadt and then completed an apprenticeship as a locksmith. He then worked in his parents' farm in Orth an der Donau and then went into business for himself as a farmer in Wagram an der Donau . During the Second World War, Niklas had to do his military service between 1939 and 1945.

In 1957 he moved to Göpfritz an der Wild . He was active in agricultural organizations.

politics

After the end of the war, he was a local councilor in Wagram from 1947 to 1955. He also represented the SPÖ from November 28, 1953 to March 6, 1963 in the Lower Austrian state parliament and was also regional chamber councilor from 1950 to 1970 and from 1958 regional chairman of the workers 'farmers' association. From 1965 to 1970 he held the function of a local council in Göpfritz an der Wild.
