Rudolf Osanger

Rudolf Osanger SDB (born June 8, 1950 in Scheibbs , Lower Austria ) is an Austrian Roman Catholic clergyman , social pedagogue and songwriter ( New Spiritual Song ). From 2008 to 2014 he was Provincial of the Austrian Order Province.

Life

Osanger entered the order of the Salesians of Don Bosco in 1967 and studied theology in Benediktbeuern and Vienna . After his ordination in 1978 he was initially a chaplain in Klagenfurt -St. Josef, then in Vienna and Amstetten . In 1995 the qualified social worker / pedagogue returned to Carinthia and became a pastor in Klagenfurt-St. Josef and in 1998 director of the Salesians Don Bosco in Klagenfurt. From August 2007 onwards, Father Mag. Rudolf Osanger was head of the Don Bosco Haus youth education center in Vienna-Unter St. Veit for one year . From 2008 to 2014 he was Provincial Superior of the Austrian Order Province of Don Bosco Salesians.

He recorded two CDs with the Klagenfurt ensemble Happy Together (under the direction of Charly Pomprein). Together with chaplain Michael Joham and Father Werner Hebeisen SJ he makes music in the Carinthian Priest Combo .

On October 5, 2007, he received the certificate of honor from the Province of Carinthia for his commitment to youth work.
