Rudolf Peterke
Rudolf Peterke (born December 7, 1945 in Mariánské Lázně , Czechoslovakia ) is a German politician. As a member of the CSU , he was a member of the Bavarian state parliament from 1996 to 2008 .
Peterke joined the middle service of the Bavarian Police in 1964 after attending elementary school and vocational school . From 1972 onwards he took on special and managerial tasks in the field of drug crime and organized crime at the Upper Bavaria police headquarters . After graduating as an administrator , he was promoted to the higher service .
His political career began in 1981 when he joined the CSU. Three years later he took on his first political mandate in the city council of Schrobenhausen and in 1987 chaired the CSU parliamentary group. In the municipal elections in 1990, Peterke was elected to the district council of the district of Neuburg-Schrobenhausen and the 3rd mayor of the city of Schrobenhausen.
On August 1, 1996, he succeeded Rudolf Engelhard , who had left the state parliament, via the Upper Bavaria electoral list in the Bavarian state parliament and also entered parliament in the 1998 and 2003 elections. In the last legislative period he was a member of the Committee for Local Affairs and Internal Security and a member of the Parliamentary Control Committee. He served his group as a spokesman for police issues.
In the state elections in 2008 he was unable to return to the state parliament as a candidate on the list for the Upper Bavaria district due to the heavy losses suffered by the CSU.
