Rudolf Reischauer

Rudolf Reischauer (born October 27, 1941 in Salzburg ) is an Austrian legal scholar.

Life

Rudolf Reischauer studied law at the University of Linz , where he received his doctorate in 1969 and habilitation in 1975. Reischauer is a member of the Catholic student association KaV Austro-Danubia in the ÖCV.

In 1976 he was appointed to a professorship for private business law at the Johannes Kepler University (JKU) in Linz. He was dean of the law faculty and from 1994 to 1996 chairman of the senate of the JKU Linz. In 2002 he took over the provisional management of the Institute for Civil Law.

He has published over 60 academic papers in his specialist area of civil law , company law , commercial law , and labor law .
