Rudolf Riege (born March 9, 1892 in Hameln , † November 22, 1959 in Hameln) was a German painter and graphic artist.

Rudolf Riege spent his childhood in Hameln and began studying at the art school in Weimar in 1909 with the intention of becoming a painter. In Weimar he was under the influence of Walther Klemm , whose woodcut sequences inspired him. When he continued his training at the Bauhaus in Weimar as a master class student after the First World War in 1919 , Expressionism was at the height of its development. This is where Riege found his personal style: as a graphic artist, he mainly worked in woodcuts, with book illustrations playing a prominent role.

Riege's graphic works, including a number of militaria, found wider distribution through the National Socialist-oriented Woensam-Ring der Schaffenden . In addition, the artist worked on personal orders from art collectors.

A considerable part of Riege's artistic estate is now in the possession of the Hameln Museum .
