Rudolf Sanner is a former German judoka .

Career

education and profession

Sanner attended the Catholic elementary school in Herdorf and then trained as a brewer and maltster between 1961 and 1964. In the following years he worked as a brewer. In 1967/1968 he did his military service as a medic. From 1970 to 1971 he attended the master school for brewers in Graefelfing, which he completed with the master brewer examination.

In preparation for the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich, he then worked as a clerk on time at the Ford plants in Cologne, joined in 1972 as an administrative employee for salary fund Hessen to Wiesbaden and was between 1974 and 1977 general as an official candidate for the higher non-technical service in the Administration at the Wiesbaden State Treasury. In 1977 he passed the administrative examination II - Diplom-Verwaltungswirt (FH) - at the Wiesbaden administrative seminar.

After completing his training, he was then branch manager, department manager and permanent representative of the branch manager at the Wiesbaden State Treasury. With the incorporation of the state treasury into the Wiesbaden II tax office in 1998, Sanner was initially employed as a clerk in the treasury department, Oberfinanzdirektion Frankfurt, later as head of department in the Presidium for Technology, Logistics and Administration . From 1994 to 1997 he was a part-time lecturer at the Wiesbaden administrative seminar in the field of budget and cash management. For health reasons, Rudolf Sanner was retired on December 1, 2001 as a councilor .

Merit in sport

In addition to his professional activity, Sanner has dedicated himself to judo. He started his judo career in 1963 at the Judo Association Siegerland in Siegen in the judo department of ESG 06 Betzdorf. He became German Junior Champion in 1968. In 1969 he reached the 3rd place in the men and in 1970 he was German light middleweight champion and German runner-up with the team of PSV Cologne. 1971 followed the participation in the European championships in Gothenburg and in the world championships in Ludwigshafen am Rhein . In 1972 he became International Master of the Netherlands , followed by 3rd place at the German Championships, participant in the European Championships in Voorburg and 2nd place at the pre-Olympic tournament in Fürth. In 1973 he again took 3rd place at the German Championships and at the International Tournament in Darmstadt, which was followed by 1st place at the ranking tournament in Hammelburg. Sanner also took part in the European Championships in Madrid and the World Championships in Lausanne . In 1974, Sanner took first place at the international German championships in Munich. Then Sanner ended his international career. In the Judo Bundesliga , Sanner fought for PSV Cologne from 1969 to 1972, then from 1973 to 1984 for the Wiesbaden Judo Club.

After completing his active career, he acquired the Trainer B license and trained the athletes of the Wiesbaden Judo Club between 1979 and 1990. Between 1986 and 1993 and a second time from 1998 to 2002, Sanner was president of the association.

When organizing the European Judo Championships in 1990 in the Ball Sports Hall in Frankfurt, Sanner was head of the organizing committee. He took on the same function in 1993 when organizing the European Team Championship. From 1991 to 2001 he was treasurer of the Hessian Judo Association. Since 1993 he has been responsible for judo on the extended board of the Wiesbaden sports district.
