Rudolf Westerheide

Rudolf Westerheide (born December 6, 1960 in Oerlinghausen ) is a German Protestant theologian , pastor of the Lippische Landeskirche , author and for many years was the head of the German youth association “Decided for Christ” (EC) .

Life

Rudolf Westerheide was born the eighth of nine children. From 1980 he studied Protestant theology in Krelingen , between 1982 and 1984 in Marburg and then in Tübingen . Between 1986 and 1990 he was a student assistant at the Bodelschwingh Study House in Marburg . This was followed by the vicariate in Begatal and from 1992 after ordination a job as parish priest in Extertal-Almena .

From 1997, Westerheide was a consultant for the German Evangelical Alliance and, in addition to lecturing and preaching services, was also active in advising and training the local alliances as well as in leading the global and European Evangelical Alliance. From 2004 to 2018 he was the Federal Pastor of the German “Youth Association Decided for Christ”. Then he returned to the parish administration of the parish Langenholzhausen . of the Lippe regional church.

He is involved in various management bodies such as the administrative board of the German Bible Society , Section III and the steering committee Fiba (Family, Integration, Education and Poverty) of the Evangelical Work for Diakonie and Development , from 2006 to 2018 on the board of the Evangelical Gnadauer Community Association , as a member of the Federal Working Group of the Confession Movement No other gospel , at “Jesus Day” e.
