Rudolf Wiesener

Rudolf Wiesener (born August 1, 1899 in Braunschweig , † August 14, 1972 in Bad Harzburg ) was a German communist politician.

Life

The son of a master shoemaker completed an apprenticeship as a printer and was active in the socialist youth movement before the First World War . From 1917 to 1918 soldier, he joined after the November Revolution of the KPD on, later he joined the end of 1928, founded the Communist Party Opposition (KPO) in, with their minority wings to Jacob Walcher and Paul Frolich , he joined in the spring of 1932, the SAPD to .

After the NSDAP came to power , Wiesener fled to the Czechoslovak Republic in 1933 . In the exile SAPD, he was one of the most active supporters of the Popular Front movement and was therefore expelled from the party at the end of the 1930s. During the Second World War Wiesener stayed in Sweden .

In 1945 Wiesener returned to Germany, where he rejoined the KPD, which he represented from 1946 to 1947 in the appointed state parliaments of Braunschweig and Lower Saxony and from May to November 1946 as minister of labor in the state government of Braunschweig under Alfred Kubel . In 1949 Wiesener was expelled from the KPD because of contacts with the KPO successor organization, Group Workers' Policy. In the following years he worked, among other things, as labor director at Harz-Lahn-Erzbergbau AG.
