Rudolf Wlassny (born November 6, 1922 in Bernburg ; † March 31, 2004 ) was a German football player who played for SG Eisenhüttenwerk Thale in the GDR Oberliga and for VfB Lübeck in the Oberliga Nord .

Vlassny began playing football as a child at Wacker Bernburg and was a member of the club until he began his military service in 1940. After the end of the war, the qualified electrician played for Eintracht Bernburg for a short time before moving to SG Eisenhüttenwerk Thale. There he was next to Werner Oberländer one of the service providers of the SG, which made it to the GDR league in 1950. In the same year Thale also managed to win the FDGB Cup . In the 4-0 victory in the final over the favored team from Erfurt, Wlassny scored the decisive 2-0 in the 65th minute. In the following seasons he scored 15 goals in 67 games for the club, which was renamed BSG Stahl Thale in 1951. In addition, he was used several times in the state selection of Saxony-Anhalt.

1952 Wlassny moved to VfB Lübeck. In the Green-Whites, the runner was also one of the regular players and played for them both in the first-class Oberliga Nord and in the second-class amateur league Schleswig-Holstein. The Bernburger was known there primarily for his tough style of play and his security as a penalty taker. In January 1956 he moved to local rivals ATSV Lübeck before ending his career.
