Rudolf of Neuchâtel
Count Rudolf II of Neuchâtel or Rudolf von Fenis († before August 30, 1196 ) from the family of the Counts of Neuchâtel was a Swiss minstrel of the 12th century .
The ancestral seat of Rudolf von Neuenburg stands in Neuchâtel between Lake Neuchâtel and Lake Biel and has been attested since 1181 . Rudolf von Neuenburg died young before August 30, 1196 . Bishop Berthold von Neuenburg was a brother of Rudolf. Rudolf had a son, Berthold, who continued the older branch of the House of Neuchâtel.
According to his partly French-speaking homeland, he wrote after the models of Folquet de Marselha and Peire Vidal , but in Middle High German .
