Rudolfo García Arias

Rudolfo García Arias (born August 8, 1890 in Buenos Aires , † unknown) was an Argentine diplomat .

Life

Rudolfo Garcia Arias was the son of Carmen Arias and Belisario García. He graduated from the law school of the Universidad Nacional de Buenos Aires Law and practiced the profession of lawyer from. He specialized in labor law. From 1914 to 1934 he worked in various law firms and was co-owner of Rueda, García Arias y Escalante in Buenos Aires with a branch in New York City . In 1921 he held a professorship at Columbia University.

In 1928 he was a delegate at the 6th Pan-American Congress in Havana. In 1936 he headed the Argentine delegation to the Anglo-Argentine treaty. In 1941 he was employed at the embassy in Washington, DC. On March 28, 1945 in Washington, DC , he declared that his government had declared war on the German Reich and Japan.

From April 9 to May 4, 1945 he was Chargé d'affaires in Washington. From 1945 to 1946 he was ambassador to Caracas . In 1950 he was ambassador to Quito , Ecuador . From 1952 to 1958 he was State Secretary in the Argentine Foreign Ministry. In 1958 he was ambassador to Tokyo , Japan . From 1958 to June 12, 1960 he was ambassador to Tel Aviv .
