Rudy Salles

Rudy Salles (born July 30, 1954 in Nice ) is a French politician . He has been a member of the National Assembly since 1988 .

Salles grew up in Nice, where he later worked as a lawyer. In 1983 he won his first political office when he entered the city council of Nice. This was followed in 1986 by joining the regional council of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region . In 1988 he entered the National Assembly for the center-right UDF party in the third constituency of the Alpes-Maritimes department . He also ran for the UDF in 1993, 1997 and 2002; he was re-elected with clear results. In 2002 he received 71 percent of the votes in the second ballot. After the Nouveau Center was re-established , he stood for it in 2007 and was elected with almost 57 percent of the vote in the first ballot. The following year, Salles was also the fourth deputy mayor of Nice. In 2012 he was elected for the sixth time as a Member of Parliament.
