origin of the name
The street got its name in honor of the admiral Anatole Prosper Courbet (1827-1885), who led the naval forces of the French army in the Sino-French War and with his troops defeated the fortified position of the Vietnamese at Sơn Tây , where another street in the immediate neighborhood.
