The 6th Women's Rugby Union World Cup took place in England from August 20 to September 5, 2010 . New Zealand secured the world title for the fourth time in a row.

format

Four teams met each other in three preliminary round groups. The three group winners and the best runner-up in the group qualified for the semi-finals. The other two runners-up and the two best third-placed teams played for fifth place, the other teams for ninth place.
