Rugenbergen

Rugenbergen was a river island on the Elbe in Hamburg , which emerged around the year 1200 from part of the crumbled island of Gorieswerder ; later combined with the former Elbe island Griesenwerder , today Rugenbergen forms the southern part of the island of Hamburg-Waltershof and gave the Rugenberg harbor its name.

Politically, Rugenbergen has been part of Hamburg since the 15th century .
