The Rugenberger Hafen is a harbor basin in Hamburg - Waltershof . It is named after the former Elbe island Rugenbergen , the eastern end of which was roughly here.

The port has an extension of 720 meters in the southwest-northeast and up to 380 meters in the northwest-southeast and an area of 21  hectares . On its northwestern side there is a passage under the Waltershofer Bridge to the Waltershofer Hafen and thus to the Parkhafen and the Elbe . Opposite the passage is the Rugenberger Schleuse as a connection to the Köhlbrand .

The federal motorway 7 crosses the port basin directly along its western bank with the Elbmarsch elevated road as it crosses the port of Hamburg . The west ramp of the Köhlbrand Bridge runs over the other side .
