Rest of Christ Chapel

The Ruhe-Christi-Kapelle (also Christ-Ruh-Kapelle ) is a place of worship in Hechingen in the Zollernalb district in Baden-Württemberg . It is located on Heilig-Kreuz-Straße. The chapel was donated by the then mayor Johann Greylich and built in 1719. Here, immediately in front of and outside the location of the southern city gate, the station path to the Heiligkreuz cemetery , which is far from the city, began . Along the way, they served until the First World War the blessing ceremony of the dead. Inside there is a sculpture 70 cm high, which shows Jesus Christ at rest.
