Rumiana Petkova

Rumjana Petkowa (born October 15, 1982 ) is a Bulgarian weightlifter .

Career

Petkowa reached fifth place at the European Championships in 2002 in the class up to 69 kg. She was also fifth at the 2003 World Championships . In 2005 she was able to win the bronze medal at the European Championships with 235.0 kg and at the World Championships she reached sixth place. Shortly before the 2006 World Championships, she was tested positive for stanozolol in a doping control and was banned for two years. After her suspension, she was sixth at the European Championships in 2009 and 2010 and fourth in 2012 and 2013.
