Around Lake Biel
Around Lake Biel ( RUBI for short ) is a marathon in Nidau that has been held annually since 1964. In the first two years it was a march without timing, after that it was also held as a run. In 2002 the event was canceled because of the Expo.02 .
The date of the event is in August. The program also includes a 15 km run, a women’s run over 6 km, children's runners and hiking and walking trails (20 km, 25 km or marathon)
The route begins and ends in Nidau and goes clockwise around Lake Biel . The 15 km run consists of a loop on the west bank of the lake, the women's run consists of a loop on the east bank.
