Panoramic view describes a clear view over the entire horizon , i.e. over (almost) 360 degrees.

For the fixed points of the geodesic a free view as possible is needed, for which sometimes steeples and special platforms ( high status ) or signal bars serve.

In radar technology - for example in air traffic control and navigation - there is a panoramic radar . Its antenna rotates a few times per minute and has the shape of a parabola or cylinder .

Art with panoramas and in panoramic images knows virtual panoramic views .
