Runer Jonsson
Runer Jonsson (born June 29, 1916 in Nybro , † October 29, 2006 ) was a Swedish journalist and author . In German-speaking countries he is best known for his literary source for the animated series Wickie and the strong men .
Jonsson was already working for Nybro Tidning at the age of 13 and became its sole editor in 1936 at the age of 19. In this position, he was primarily characterized by harsh criticism of National Socialism . He also wrote articles for other newspapers.
As an author, he has created around 50 books. The best known are the children's books about the aforementioned Wickie ( Vicke Viking ) and the books about a boy from the Bronze Age ( Ulme från Öland ).
