Rupert Svendsen-Cook

Rupert Svendsen-Cook (born September 17, 1990 in Ipswich , England ) is a British racing driver . He competed in British Formula 3 from 2010 to 2012 .

Career

Svendsen-Cook began his motorsport career in 1998 in karting , in which he was active until 2006. In 2007, he was in the British Formula BMW debut in single-seater racing and was 16th in the overall standings. In 2008 he switched to European Formula BMW, which had emerged from a merger of the British and German Formula BMW, and competed for Raikkonen Robertson Racing . After finishing 13th in the overall standings with fifth place as the best result in his first season, Svendsen-Cook stayed with Raikkonen Robertson Racing in the European Formula BMW in 2009 and finished sixth in the overall standings with two third places. He also took part in two races of the European Trofeo Abarth 500.

In 2010 Svendsen-Cook moved to Carlin in the British Formula 3 championship . He started the season well and won his first race on the very first race weekend. In the further course of the season he no longer built on his performance at the season opener and finished seventh overall. In 2011 , Svendsen-Cook stayed with Carlin in the British Formula 3 Championship. He won two races and finished the season as the fourth-best Carlin driver in fifth place overall. In 2012 Svendsen-Cook was without a permanent racing cockpit. First, he took part in an event of the European F3 Open for Top F3 . He achieved a third place in his debut race. At the end of the year he competed for Double R Racing, the successor to Raikkonen Robertson Racing, two more events in the British Formula 3 championship.
