Ruslan Jurijowytsch Perechoda ( Ukrainian Руслан Юрійович Перехода ; born July 18, 1987 in Staryj Saltiw , Ukrainian SSR , Soviet Union ) is a Ukrainian cross-country skier .

Career

Perechoda has mainly participated in the Eastern Europe Cup since 2009 . He ran his first World Cup race in Moscow in February 2012 , which he finished with 60th place in the sprint. In February 2013 he got his first and so far only World Cup points with the 26th place in the sprint in Sochi . His best results at the Nordic World Ski Championships 2013 in Val di Fiemme were 65th place in the sprint and 17th place in the relay. At the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, he finished 50th in the sprint and 20th in the team sprint. His best results at the 2015 Nordic World Ski Championships in Falun were 56th in the sprint and 17th in the relay. In the 2016/17 season he took 18th place in the overall ranking of the Eastern Europe Cup. He took his first victory in the sprint in Syanki in December 2016 . At the Nordic World Ski Championships 2017 in Lahti , he finished 77th place over 15 km classic, 49th place in the sprint and 16th place together with Oleksij Krassowskyj in the team sprint. In February 2019 he ran at the Nordic World Ski Championships in Seefeld in Tyrol to 59th place in the 50 km mass start race and 14th place with the relay.
