Russ Bray (born June 22, 1957 in South Ockendon , Essex ) is the most famous caller (referee) of darts . Because of his smoky and extremely distinctive voice, he is also known as "The Voice".

Life

In 1996 he was asked to join the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) - an international darts association - and since then has been the best-known and most sought-after caller at PDC international darts tournaments. He was in almost all World Cup Finals referees, also at 9-Darter of Phil Taylor in 2002 and 2008 and the nine-darter of Michael van Gerwen of 2007.

With 14 9-darters, Russ Bray holds the record for the most "called" TV 9-darters in darts.

Russ Bray currently resides in Welwyn Garden City, England, with his wife and four children.

Aside from darts, Bray is also active in advertising programs or events and can be booked for smaller events. He starred in several television productions, for example in the 2002 movie "Heartlands".

Bray is a fan of the London football team West Ham United .
