Ruth Horn

Ruth Horn , née Granzin , (born February 4, 1908 in Berlin ; † May 20, 1987 in Darmstadt ) was a Hessian politician ( SPD ) and a former member of the Hessian state parliament .

education and profession

After graduating from high school in 1927, Ruth Horn studied philology in Frankfurt am Main as well as primary school teaching at the Pedagogical Institute in Darmstadt-Jugenheim . In the following years she worked in the school service.

politics

Ruth Horn was a member of the SPD and was a board member at the district and state level. In terms of local politics, she was a city councilor in Darmstadt between 1948 and 1956.

From December 1, 1950 to November 30, 1970, Ruth Horn was a member of the Hessian state parliament for five electoral terms. In 1954, 1959 and 1964 Ms. Horn was a member of the Federal Assembly .
