Ruth Kennedy

Ruth Kennedy (married Patten; born January 13, 1957 ) is a former British sprinter .

In the 4 x 400 meter relay she won the British Commonwealth Games in Christchurch in 1974 with the English team and came in sixth place with the British team at the European Athletics Championships in Rome .

At the Commonwealth Games in Edmonton in 1978 , she defended the title with the English 4 x 400 meter relay.

In 1982 she became the English indoor champion over 200 m , in 1984 over 400 m .
