Ruth Marcus (2013)

Ruth Marcus (born July 26, 1958 in Hanau ) is a German photographer and author . She became known for her animal portraits.

Live and act

Ruth Marcus is a photographer and author of the books PferdeAugenBlicke ; Men and their animals ; Cats ; Puppy and dog moments . In addition to the illustrated books mentioned, her photographs of the sculptures by the animal sculptor August Gaul were particularly noted.

After studying medicine in Frankfurt am Main and receiving her doctorate in 1984, Ruth Marcus worked as a doctor and freelance medical journalist. Since 2005 she has been doing freelance photo projects. She lives and works near Frankfurt am Main.
