Ruth Schwerzmann

Ruth Schwerzmann (born April 15, 1947 in Cham , Zug ) is a Swiss politician ( FDP ). From 1995 to 2002 she was a member of the government of the Canton of Zug.

biography

Ruth Schwerzmann was born in Aarau and has lived in Zug since 1951. After completing her commercial apprenticeship at a trust office in Zug, she works as a self-employed accountant. Schwerzmann has been working in her husband's business since 1970 and trained as an interior designer while working.

Political functions

Ruth Schwerzmann was elected to the Cantonal Council in 1982 and worked there until 1994 as FDP Cantonal Councilor. From 1993 to 1994 she was the first woman to be President of the Cantonal Council. In 1995 she was elected to the government council, where she worked as finance director in 2002. She is clearly against the new financial equalization of the federal government. Schwerzmann experienced the worst moment of her reign when she was assassinated in Zug, which she survived physically intact.
