Ruth Simsa

Ruth Simsa (born May 18, 1962 in Vienna ) is an Austrian social scientist specializing in sociology and economics . Several of her publications are primary literature in various business studies. She is an associate professor at the Vienna University of Economics and Business .

Ruth Simsa studied economics from 1980 to 1985 at the Vienna University of Economics and Business, and also took part in studies abroad in England at the University of Guilford, the Universidad Internacional Menendez Pelayo, Santander in Spain and the Colegio de Espana, Salamanca, also Spain. She had her habilitation in 2000 as a lecturer in sociology. Her official title is ao Univ.prof. Mag. Dr. rer. soc. oec. At the Vienna University of Economics and Business, she works primarily in non-profit research. She heads the Institute for Interdisciplinary Nonprofit Research at WU Vienna. From 2004 to 2010 she was released from WU.

She is currently working as a freelance management and organizational consultant. In addition to systemic organizational consulting, it also offers management training, coaching, lectures and the moderation of major events. Your consulting activities affect very different organizations, e.g. B. the AMS , the Red Cross , but also Bank Austria or the Raiffeisen Bank .

Ruth Simsa is the mother of two children and currently lives in Kierling, Klosterneuburg . In 2000 she received the Senator Wilhelm-Wilfing Prize for scientific achievements. She is the sister of Marko Simsa .
