The Ryūkyū Trench is a deep-sea channel up to 7507 m deep and 1040 km long , which lies in the Philippine Sea in the western part of the Pacific Ocean (Pacific).

The Ryūkyū Trench is located between the Japanese Ryūkyū Islands in the (north) west, Kyūshū (Japan) in the north, the Philippines Basin in the east and south and Taiwan in the (south) west. It is located about 23 to 28 degrees north latitude and 126 and 131 degrees east longitude .

The Ryūkyū Trench forms part of the deeply cut seam between the Eurasian plate in the west and the Philippine plate in the east.
