The Canadian duo RyanDan consists of the identical twins Ryan and Dan Kowarsky (born December 5, 1979 ), whose music is composed of classical , opera and pop . Originally they were part of the boy band Before Four together with Ohad binder. After that they continued to work as the singing duo "RyanDan". You are also active as a composer and music producer.
Beginnings
Ryan and Dan are the youngest of five children of a Jewish family who grew up in the northern Thornhill suburb of Toronto . Her father Paul, whose origins are in South Africa, is a well-known opera singer. He sang as a cantor in synagogues in South Africa and also after his immigration in Canada . Ryan and Dan's mother, Adele Gould, was also very musical and supportive. In 2004 she was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease . In senior high school, Ryan and Dan shared a lead role in the school play of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.
Career
At the age of 16, Ryan, Dan, and boyfriend Ohad introduced themselves on Sony Music Canada. With an acapella insert from Show Me the Way , they attracted attention at the reception and thus received a record deal. Their boy band was called b4-4, but was marketed as Before Four for the European market . In 2001 they were nominated for the coveted Juno Award in Canada for Best New Group, but lost to. The band broke up in 2004.
In 2006 Ryan and Dan moved to London to continue their careers. They wanted to be taken seriously and reach a more mature audience. They produced their album RyanDan with well-known producer Steve Anderson , who worked with Kylie Minogue and Paul McCartney . The duo is currently under contract with The Management Trust and Sander Shalinski .
You cite opera singer Mario Lanza as a lasting influence in their music. The loss of their then 4-year-old niece, who lost her battle with the brain tumor, inspired Ryan and Dan to write the song, "Tears Of An Angel" while they were recording.
Music productions
Ryan and Dan also dedicate themselves to music productions by other artists. They made their experiences while writing the song of Black McGrath's album “Time to move”, where the twins visibly influenced the songs “Relax” and “Burn the floor”. Also Mia Martina 's “Latin Moon” and “Stereo Love”, as well as “Automatic” by Danny Fernandes and various songs for Tyler Medeiros . bear RyanDan's signature.
