Ryan Gander
Ryan Gander OBE (* 1976 in Chester ) is a British conceptual artist .
life and work
Ryan Gander studied at the Manchester Metropolitan University , the Rijksakademie van beeldende kunsten in Amsterdam and the Jan van Eyck Academie , Maastricht. He was Professor of Fine Arts at the University of Huddersfield and holds honorary doctorates from Manchester Metropolitan University and the University of Suffolk .
Ryan Gander chooses sculpture, film, installations, found objects , photographs, painting, performance and less traditional genres such as children's books, typography and jewelry design as media for his art . Gander tries an artistic style to avoid handwriting. His works are fragments of a complex narrative.
Ryan Gander was represented at numerous exhibitions in Germany and abroad, including dOCUMENTA (13) in Kassel in 2012 .
