Ryan Graves was born in San Diego , California. He works as a database administrator at General Electric before moving to the start-up Foursquare in mid-2009 through customer recruitment . After reading a tweet from the founder of internet transportation service provider Uber, Travis Kalanick , who was looking for a CEO, he proposed himself to do it. He received the position of CEO, which he filled from February to December 2010.
