Sándor Kántor (born February 1, 1971 in Kaposvár ) is a Hungarian volleyball player and coach.

Career

Sándor Kántor began playing volleyball in 1982 in his homeland in Kaposvár , where he was three times Hungarian champion and twice cup winner between 1992 and 1994. The universal player then moved to the German Bundesliga club ASV Dachau , with whom he was twice German champion and once DVV cup winner . During this time, he took top positions in the rankings of German volleyball in the categories of serve, acceptance and attack. The Hungarian international played in his successful career from 1997 to 2002 for various Italian clubs and achieved numerous top placements nationally and internationally. From 2002 to 2006 he played in Japan and Qatar. From 2006 to 2011 Sándor Kántor played again in his homeland in Kaposvár and won the Hungarian double again five times in a row. In the 2010/11 season he was player-coach.
