São Lourenço de Sande is a place and a former municipality ( freguesia ) in northern Portugal .
São Lourenço de Sande belongs to the Guimarães district in the Braga district . The community had an area of 3 km² and 1097 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2011). The community is only slightly urbanized.
On September 29, 2013, the municipalities of Sande (São Lourenço) and Balazar were merged to form the new municipality of União das Freguesias de Sande São Lourenço e Balazar .
