São Paio de Vizela is a place and a former municipality ( freguesia ) in northern Portugal .
São Paio de Vizela belongs to the district and city of Vizela in the district of Braga . The community had an area of 2.5 km² and 1499 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2011).
On September 29, 2013, the municipalities of Vizela (São Paio) and Tagilde were merged to form the new municipality of União das Freguesias de Tagilde e Vizela (São Paio) .
