Tagilde is a place and a former municipality ( freguesia ) in northern Portugal .
Tagilde belongs to the district and the city of Vizela in the district of Braga . The community had an area of 2.8 km² and 1852 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2011).
On September 29, 2013, the municipalities of Tagilde and Vizela (São Paio) merged to form the new municipality of União das Freguesias de Tagilde e Vizela (São Paio) . Tagilde is the seat of this newly formed community.
