São Romão do Coronado is a place and a former municipality ( freguesia ) in northern Portugal .

São Romão do Coronado belongs to the Trofa district in the Porto district . The community had an area of ​​3.5 km² and 4785 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2011). Together with the municipality of São Mamede de Coronado, the municipality forms the small town of Vila do Coronado .

On September 29, 2013, the municipalities of Coronado (São Romão) and Coronado (São Mamede) merged to form the new municipality of União das Freguesias de Coronado (São Romão e São Mamede) . Coronado (São Romão) is the seat of this newly formed community.
