Säperstelle

The Säperstelle is an important crossroads ( 491.8  m above sea  level ) on the Sachsenberg ( 546  m ) near Bad Harzburg in the Lower Saxony district of Goslar .

In the past, peeling off the bark from the trunk was called slaughtering; it is equivalent to cracking the bark.

The Sachsenbrunnen stands immediately southeast of the Säperstelle . There is also a rest area at the intersection with the Bernhard Everling Hut (refuge). Until 2016, the Säperstelle was included as No. 121 in the system of stamping points of the Harz hiking pin.
