Sönke Hundt

Sönke Hundt (born February 26, 1938 in Berlin ) is a German economist. His areas of teaching as a university lecturer were general business administration, marketing and organizational theory.

Life

Hundt grew up in Büsum on the North Sea coast. After his apprenticeship as an industrial manager in Hamburg from 1959 to 1961, he graduated to 1967 studied business economics at the Free University of Berlin (FUB) and at the Faculté de Droit et des Sciences économiques in Paris he received after successfully passing the examination, the title Diplom-Kaufmann . Then he was a research assistant at the chair for corporate policy at the FUB until 1974.

From 1974 to 1976 he was a research associate in the research project Multinational Enterprises .

In 1976 he was promoted to Dr. rer. pole. PhD. Afterwards he was appointed professor for business administration at the University of Economics in Bremen . From 2000 to 2002 he was Dean of Studies at the Faculty of Business at the University of Bremen .

Hundt lives in Bremer Neustadt, continues to work as an emeritus journalist, is involved in the Bremen Peace Forum , moderates the website of the Middle East Working Group and takes part in peace vigils in front of the cathedral. In left-wing media such as the daily newspaper Junge Welt or Labournet Germany , he takes a position on current political issues.
