Sören and Bettina

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Sören and Bettina (later also: Bettina and Sören or Tina and Søren ) was a Christian singing duo , consisting of Bettina Alms and Sören Kahl .

The then married couple Kahl, consisting of recorder and violinist Bettina and Klemata front singer Sören, released their first album together in 1994, self- titled Sören and Bettina , on which they mostly appeared in a duet, but which also included some instrumental pieces for recorder and violin. The album was released on the Schulte & Gerth label and received mixed criticism from the Christian music scene - mainly due to Sören's change in style compared to his former band Klemata, which was perceived as less current . However, in 1996 Schulte & Gerth launched the follow-up album Bilderwelt produced by Dirk Schmalenbach with the same concept on the market. In the following years, the duo set up their own label Adlib Music . In a distribution partnership with Abakus Musik , three more albums and one single were released.

In 2001 the duo paused their concerts due to personal problems, and in 2005 their marriage finally broke down. The couple is divorced today and the singing duo no longer exists.
