Sören Kahl (born December 1964 in Siegen ; spelling of the first name partly also: Søren) is a lyricist and singer of Christian pop music as well as a book and audio book author.

Sören Kahl was born as the fourth child of a pastor's family in Siegen- Weidenau . He was baptized when he was 13 years old. It was also around this time that he began to write his first own songs, but after graduating from high school, he decided to work full-time in the direction of marketing and advertising design and graduated with a degree in communications. Today he works as a graphic designer and advertising specialist for the Christian Kawohl publishing house . In his free time, Sören Kahl works as a copywriter and musician and until 2001 traveled to over 400 concerts across Germany. In 1985 he became the lead singer of the Christian pop band Klemata , which made him famous throughout Germany. At the end of 1993 he left the band and formed the pop duo Sören and Bettina with his then wife Bettina Alms . After the marriage ended in 2005, Sören Kahl came to terms with this difficult time in 2008 in the form of meditative concept albums. His first album after a seven-year break from artists, The Miracle of the Pearl , became a bestseller in the Christian music business. As a guest soloist, he was involved in numerous project albums as well as children's concepts for influential producers in the Christian music industry such as Dirk Schmalenbach , Klaus Heizmann , Margret Birkenfeld and Jochen Rieger .
